Meet Dr Alam
Your Hair Transplant plan is tailored to your unique needs. Your package will be determined by Dr Alam during a full assessment.
We quote in grafts, not hairs.
Each graft roughly contains between 1 – 4 hairs, and in some cases more. At HTA, we use single-hair grafts in the hairline to create a soft, natural-looking result. Multi-hair grafts are strategically placed behind the hairline to build density and volume. This method ensures both precision and fullness, giving you results that look natural from every angle.

The HTA Difference
We understand that choosing a Hair Transplant clinic is a personal and informed decision. below we’ve answered some of our most frequently asked questions to help guide you with clarity, confidence, and care.
Most patients experience little to no discomfort during the procedure. We administer local anaesthetic to the areas to ensure that your experience is as pain-free as possible. Local anaesthetic also means our patients are fully awake and concious during the procedure and able to ask questions and communicate with us throughout.
Absolutely, our technique is designed to replicate the natural growth pattern of your native hair. The hairline sites are made by Dr Alam where he decides the depth, angle and pattern, the grafts are then meticulously placed with precsion and artistry to ensure a seamless, undetectable result.
Recovery time for a Hair Transplant is typically 2 weeks of downtime. However, you can resume regular, light activities after 3 days. If you work an office job or from home, you can safely return to work a few days after your procedure. If you work outdoors or a in a physically demanding job, you will require 2 weeks off work.
While it’s not mandatory to take hair loss medication after a transplant, it’s highly recommended if you want to protect your investment and maintain your results long-term. A hair transplant only moves your existing healthy follicles—it doesn’t stop further hair loss of your native, non-transplanted hair. Without ongoing treatment, you may continue to lose hair around the transplant area, which can affect the overall appearance over time.
Most clients are prescribed medications like Finasteride or Minoxidil, which help slow or prevent further loss by supporting hair growth and follicle health. But if you’re someone who prefers a more natural alternative, PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy is a great option. PRP uses your own blood to stimulate growth factors in the scalp, encouraging stronger, healthier hair growth and reducing shedding—without the use of pharmaceuticals.
We can help tailor a post-op plan that suits your lifestyle, goals, and preferences—whether that’s medication, PRP, or a combination of both.
Yes — this is completely normal. Within the first 2–4 weeks, the transplanted hairs will typically shed, but don’t worry — the follicles remain in place under the skin. After this “shedding phase,” the new hairs begin growing in stronger and more permanently over the next few months.
No — transplanted hair is taken from the donor area (usually the back or sides of the scalp), which is genetically resistant to DHT. Once transplanted, these follicles behave as they would in their original location, meaning the hair won’t fall out again the way native thinning hair might. It’s considered permanent — but ongoing hair loss in untreated areas can still happen.
– FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction):
Individual hair follicles are removed one by one from the donor area, leaving tiny dot-like scars. It’s minimally invasive, has a faster recovery, and is ideal for shorter hairstyles.
– FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation):
A thin strip of scalp is removed from the donor area, and the follicles are then extracted from that strip. This method can yield more grafts in one session but leaves a linear scar and has a slightly longer recovery time.
